Let us consider how to motivate one another to love and to do good deeds. Let us not stop meeting together, as some have done, but rather encourage one another, especially as the day of the Lord’s return approaches. —Heb. 10:24–25

“This is my command, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lays down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you obey my commands.” John 15:12–14

Love is at the heart of Christian community and obedience to Christ. In a Spotfire, our love for God and one another should deepen over time. But this only happens if we are committed—showing up, engaging, and walking together faithfully.

Over time, the Spotfire will grow in trust and mutual care. This love might lead to sacrificial acts—giving time, energy, finances, or comfort for the sake of another. While only in extreme circumstances are we called to lay down our lives physically, we are called to die daily to selfishness and live for each other.

This is what true discipleship looks like—loving as Jesus loves.
