At daybreak, Jesus went into a solitary place. —Luke 4:42
A deeper spiritual life begins in solitude—with time spent alone receiving truth from God. Just like any meaningful relationship, knowing and loving God takes time. As you spend intentional time with him, you come to know his heart and mind.
Love grows through presence. As you discover that God is always present, always listening, and always speaking, your time with him will naturally deepen and expand.

Lord, what are you teaching me in today’s reading?
Lord, what else have you said to me through thoughts, circumstances, conversations, emotions, or the work of the enemy?
Lord, what do you want me to do: At home? At work? In ministry?
