Week 5
“If you love me, obey my commands. I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Helper, that he may be with you forever: the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.” —John 14:15–17
The Spirit of truth—the Holy Spirit—guides believers into spiritual truth. This truth isn’t revealed only in Scripture, but also in our circumstances, in nature, and even through trials or the enemy’s attacks. As we walk closely with Jesus, the Spirit helps us discern what is true, what is false, and what matters most.
Like Jesus did in the Gospels, the Holy Spirit still uses everyday life to reveal eternal truth.
Reflection Questions
What spiritual truth has God revealed to you through the Bible recently? Through circumstances?
Lord, what are you teaching me in today’s reading?
Lord, what else have you said to me through thoughts, circumstances, conversations, emotions, or the work of the enemy?
Lord, what do you want me to do: At home? At work? In ministry?
