“You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life, and they do testify about me. Yet you do not come to me, that you may have life.”John 5:39–40

Many believers study Scripture to gain principles, but never come to the Person behind the words—Jesus, the One who brings life. Studying Scripture is essential, but if it doesn’t lead us into a deeper relationship with Jesus, we’re missing its purpose.

Throughout the Bible, God makes it clear that his desire is for us to enter into a living, dynamic relationship with him through the Holy Spirit. Many people gain information about God, but experience little real heart change, which only happens through knowing the Lord personally. Intellectual understanding may adjust our behaviors, but lasting transformation comes from connection with Jesus himself. Scripture urges us to seek a growing relationship with God, learning to discern his voice. Through this intimacy, he not only reveals himself but also guides the changes he desires in our lives, leading us into deeper obedience and trust.
