They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and prayer. Fear came on every person, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. All who believed were together and had everything in common. They sold their possessions and goods and gave to anyone in need. They worshiped every day in the temple, and met in homes for the Lord’s supper and shared meals together with great joy and generosity, praising God and having favor with all the people. Every day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. —Acts 2:42–47
God calls us to walk in deep fellowship with other believers throughout our lives—not just for a season, but as a regular and enduring part of our journey on earth. A powerful way to participate in intentional spiritual community is through joining or organizing a Listening to Jesus Spotfire.
A Spotfire becomes an intimate gathering of people who are learning to listen to God together. They may meet weekly—or even more often. They pray together, share meals, discuss what they’ve heard from the Lord since the last time they met, and grow familiar with each other’s lives and faith journeys.
In this space, God speaks through Scripture, prayer, and shared life.
