Sunday evening, when the disciples were together with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, Peace be to you.”

When he had said this, he showed them the wounds in his hands and his side. The disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.” When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit!John 20:19–22

Why were the disciples gathered here? They gathered because of their fear of the Jews. They found what we often find to be true when we face an uncertain future: strength in numbers.

Our future is always uncertain, but we are more aware of it during trials. Christian community reminds us of God’s presence and promises amid difficult times. Fellow believers can point us back to biblical truth, share personal testimonies of God’s faithfulness, and help us stand firm when we are tempted to waver.

The testimony of other believers bolsters our trust in God. Because God often speaks to us through others, a Spotfire offers strength and perspective in the midst of uncertainty.
