“I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” —Matt. 28:20
“In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.”
—John 14:20
“Abide in me, and I will abide in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in me.” —John 15:4
Christ is not just near; he is within. Abiding is more than occasional awareness—it is a posture of the heart, a life centered on Jesus. It is cultivated daily through surrender and obedience, leading to fruitfulness and transformation. The more you abide, the more you experience the fullness of life in him.
Each of the seven categories of tSOAR is essential to discipleship, but abiding is the most important one in experiencing fullness of life. That’s because abiding involves being personally aware of Christ in your life and being united with him in thought, will, and purpose. But abiding is not something that just happens; it requires action on our part. In fact, God commands that we abide in him. It can only happen if we trust enough to surrender and submit to obedience.
